Lugosi

I think this one is a still unfinished, but I kinda like how it is now with his siut outlined rather than inked in with crosshatching (a black suit).

It would have been nice to see Bela Lugosi in more non-horror roles, as a leading man or something (which he did do in the silent era, but most of his early films were never preserved and have eroded), but because Dracula stuck on him and his heavy accent, he was only type-cast as a mad scientist or vampire or whichever. So sad...damn Hollywood...

He did play an almost non-spooky role in The Black Cat. He is kinda crazy in that one though--but the emotions of misery he displays are powerful to me--the iimage I did called "Frickin' Death of Love" was partly inspired by certain scenes from the movie.

But while watching The Raven (he plays a mad doctor), he was attracted to a certain young woman, and when he was ready to make the moves on her (like, kissy stuff) she wiggles away, I was like: "Eeee!! I'd trade palces with her if she doesn't want him!" LOL The scene happens so quickly though--dang! :meh:
